Dr. Eric Yarnell, NDNorthwest Naturopathic Urology
Dr. Yarnell graduated from Bastyr University in 1996. He completed a two year residency with Silena Heron, ND in Sedona, AZ in naturopathic family care and herbal medicine. He then worked as chair of the department of botanical medicine at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ for 1.5 years. While there he supervised students in the teaching clinic. After a time in Oregon he returned to Seattle and began his specialized practice in 2002. He is now an assistant professor in the department of botanical medicine at Bastyr University, and also supervises a student training shift at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health focusing on urology and men’s health.
Dr. Yarnell received a training grant through Bastyr University and funded by the National Institutes of Health (grant R25AT002876) to complete a basic certificate in clinical research at the University of Washington. He has nearly completed this, focusing on research in men with prostate cancer. He is now staff physician at the Bastyr Integrative Oncology Research Center working with patients with prostate, bladder, and kidney cancers continuing this research.
Dr. Yarnell has published numerous articles and textbooks in urology and related fields. His most recent text is Clinical Botanical Medicine 2nd ed which he co-authored. He is author of Naturopathic Urology and Men’s Health, the only textbook of its kind. He has lectured around the world.
